Vincent Kompany has welcomed Bayern Munich’s public handling of João Palhinha, Sacha Boey, and Bryan Zaragoza after the club confirmed that all three players are available for transfer.

Board member for sport Max Eberl recently stated that Bayern would prefer to sell the returning loanees, warning that regular playing time would be difficult to secure should they remain in Munich.

Speaking at his first press conference during Bayern’s preseason camp in Jeju, South Korea, Kompany defended the clarity of the club’s approach.

“I think it’s positive that the club is communicating clearly with the players,” the Bayern head coach said. “As a player, I would have wanted that back then, too. The club has made a clear statement, so we’re on the same page.”

Palhinha returned after spending last season on loan at Tottenham Hotspur, while Boey and Zaragoza also came back from temporary spells away from Säbener Straße. The trio carry a combined estimated market value of €33m.
