When Rory McIlroy completed the career Grand Slam earlier this year, plenty of attention was placed on what was in his bag. Among them was his distinctive Spider Tour X putter, featuring a torched finish that stood out almost as much as his putting performance. Now, that putter has inspired an entire new family.
TaylorMade’s 2026 Spider Tour lineup introduces a new torched PVD finish across four models, including the established Spider Tour and Spider Tour X alongside two new additions, the Spider Tour F and Spider Tour V. As well as, three new zero torque models. But while the finish will grab the headlines, the bigger story is how TaylorMade has created clearer separation between each model, giving golfers more choice than ever when it comes to head shape, toe hang, alignment and stroke fit.
Here’s everything you need to know about the new Spider Tour family and how the latest additions fit into one of golf’s most successful putter franchises.
The Technology
Every 2026 Spider mallet is equipped with a White TPU Pure Roll™ insert. This is a mixture of Surlyn and aluminium used to create grooves that sit at a 45° angle. These grooves aim to grab that ball on impact to help it roll end over end. The roll is a key feature of a Spider as it aims to improve straight line performance and distance.
Behind the face, is a HYBRAR ECHO® Damper works to remove unwanted vibrations which helps to deliver a premium sound and feel at impact.
The body itself is hollow, allowing weights to be pushed to the perimeters. This shift in centre of gravity (CG) helps to increase the stability of the putter and MOI.
A new textured aluminium sole plate that not only adds a new look but improve the sit points. This means more sole stability so less chance the ball has of slipping on the grass.
TaylorMade offers the Spider line up with two different alignment aids, the patented True Path™ alignment system and a single sight line. The True Path™ is much bolder, helping to frame the ball at address. The visual allows for better centering as well as allowing the golfer with envisioning a route to the hole. The single line on the other hand is more traditional, designed for players who like more of a simple design.

The new colourway is Rory McIlroy inspired. His unique torched design has been desired by many golfers but as stated by TaylorMade is not durable enough for the average golfer. The new Torched PVD coating combines the Rory look in a much longer lasting finish.
As standard each Spider putter is fitted with a KBS CT Putter 120 Stepless Black shaft and a SuperStroke Pistol 1.0 grip.
The Line-up
The 2026 TaylorMade Spider Tour Torched Putter range is made up of four new models; the Spider Tour, Spider Tour X, Spider Tour F and Spider Tour V. Here’s a closer look at each of them…
SPIDER TOUR

Looks: Keeping the original Spider shaping the Tour model continues to be the highest-MOI shape in the lineup. While the new torched PVD finish gives it a fresh look for 2026, the technology and weighting characteristics that made Spider one of the most successful putter franchises in golf remain firmly intact.
Technology: It has a deep CG being positioned 36mm behind the leading edge — the furthest back of any putter in the new Spider Tour family. This movement of mass helps to increase stability at impact, helping the putter resist twisting on off-centre strikes and maintain ball speed across a larger area of the face.
Specifications:
| Neck bend | Alignment | Hand | Lengths |
| Small Slant | Single Sight Line | RH/LH | 35″, 34″ RH only |
| L-Neck | Single Sight Line | RH/LH | 35″, 34″ RH only, 33″ RH only |
| Small Slant | True Path™ | RH/LH | 35″, 34″ RH only |
| Double Bend | True Path™ | RH/LH | 35″, 34″ RH only |
SPIDER TOUR X

Looks: Arguably the most recognisable model in the entire Spider family, the Tour X is a favourite of both Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler. For 2026, the shaping remains very much the same but with the fresh torched appearance and new textured sole plate. Golfers can also choose between two alignment styles – the familiar True Path alignment system remains available, while select models feature a cleaner Single Sight Line design. That Single Sight Line setup was directly inspired by the putter Rory used during his Masters victory and will likely appeal to golfers who prefer a more traditional look at address without sacrificing the confidence-inspiring shape of a mallet.
Technology: Depending on the configuration, the CG sits between 34mm and 36mm behind the leading edge. This deeper CG placement helps maximise stability and forgiveness while maintaining the controlled face rotation characteristics demanded by better players. Spider Tour X is available in three hosel configurations, allowing golfers to better match the putter to their natural stroke shape.
Specifications:
| Neck bend | Alignment | Hand | Lengths |
| L-Neck | Single Sight Line | RH/LH | 35″ RH only, 34″ RH only |
| Small Slant | True Path™ | RH/LH | 35″, 34″ RH only, 33″ RH only |
| Double Bend | True Path™ | RH/LH | 35″, 34″ RH only |
SPIDER TOUR V

Looks: The Tour V is the most compact shaping out of the Spider line-up. The new design aims to bridge the gap between a blade and a mallet, being a great option for a player transitioning. It still delivers the stability benefits associated with a high-MOI mallet but its smaller footprint and cleaner shaping are designed to appeal to golfers who have traditionally preferred the look of a blade putter.
Unlike some of the other models in the lineup, the Spider Tour V keeps things simple with a Single Sight Line alignment aid. This cleaner appearance at address helps maintain the traditional aesthetic that many accomplished players favour while still providing enough visual guidance to inspire confidence over the ball.
Technology: The Tour V is the most stroke-specific putter in the 2026 Spider lineup and has been designed primarily for golfers with a naturally arcing putting stroke. The L-Neck hosel that produces 33 degrees of toe hang, the highest among the Spider models. This allows the putter face to rotate more naturally through impact, complementing players who release the putter rather than keeping it square throughout the stroke.
The CG location is also the most forward, at just 21mm behind the leading edge. By moving the CG closer to the face, TaylorMade has created a putter that offers more precision and feedback through impact while still benefiting from the forgiveness of a mallet design.
Specifications:
| Neck bend | Alignment | Hand | Lengths |
| L-Neck | Single Sight Line | RH only | 35″ RH only, 34″ RH only |
| Double Bend | Single Sight Line | RH/LH | 35″, 34″ RH only |
SPIDER TOUR F

Looks: The Spider Tour F is the newest shape in the Spider family with a distinctive winged-back design. Visually it sits visually between the compact Spider Tour V and the larger Spider Tour and Tour X models. It offers a modern mallet profile that aims to appeal to golfers looking for something a little different from the traditional Spider silhouette.
TaylorMade has kept the alignment simple across the entire Tour F range, with each model featuring a Single Sight Line. This cleaner setup will appeal to golfers who prefer a less busy look at address while still benefiting from a clear visual reference to help square the face.
Technology: The Spider Tour F has designed with two types of golfers in mind. The L-Neck model produces 33 degrees of toe hang, making it a great choice for golfers with a strong arc in their putting stroke. It helps the putter to be released through impact. Meanwhile, the Double Bend Tour F is fully face-balanced and designed for players with a straighter stroke, helping to minimise face rotation.
The CG sits 22mm behind the leading edge, having the second most forward CG location in the entire Spider family. This more forward CG helps deliver greater face awareness and feedback through impact compared to the deeper-CG Spider Tour and Tour X models, while still maintaining the forgiveness benefits of a mallet design.
Specifications:
| Neck bend | Alignment | Hand | Lengths |
| L-Neck | Single Sight Line | RH | 35″ RH only, 34″ RH only |
Spider ZT Max Putters
The Spider Zero Torque putters family welcomes a new addition, the Spider ZT Max. This putter comes in three different configurations, standard, counterbalance and max long. TaylorMade aims to showcase maximum forgiveness and consistency through an ultra-stable, high-MOI mallet design. The ZT Max a larger head profile than previous Spider ZT-05 model.

Technology: Spider ZT Max putters are built around TaylorMade’s Spider Stability platform, which is engineered to maximise forgiveness and consistency through a high-MOI design. A lightweight aerospace-grade 6061 milled aluminium body is paired with heavy corner weights to push mass to the perimeter of the putter head. This helps to increase stability and helping the face resist twisting on off-centre strikes. The head is now 20% bigger than the ZT-5K, yet keeps the same face depth.
Across all three models, the KBS putter shaft is positioned to align directly with the putter head’s centre of gravity, creating a 2° shaft lean and 34mm of onset behind the face for a consistent setup position. And, a sole shaping helps with the how the putter sits on the green.

Specifications:
