Two members of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona found their intended targets with every single one of their passes during the first-half of the club’s latest outing.
The Blaugrana pair in question? Brian Fariñas and Gerard Martín.
Hansi Flick’s troops are of course currently locked in action on the continent, in a Champions League meeting with Premier League outfit Aston Villa.
As things stand, Barca are in possession of a slender advantage, courtesy of a fine Lamine Yamal strike early on.
The aforementioned Brian Fariñas and Gerard Martín, meanwhile, were both in from the off at the Camp Nou, the former at right-back, and the latter at the heart of defence.
And as alluded to above, a head-turning statistic surrounding the excellence of the two Spaniards on the ball has now come to the fore online. As per a report from WhoScored:
‘Brian Fariñas (44/44) and Gerard Martín (39/39) were the only outfield players with 100% pass accuracy in the first half vs Aston Villa.’
