The left-handed batter smashed a sensational 50 off just 19 balls against Zimbabwe in the first T20I at Harare on July 23, becoming the youngest male player ever to score a half-century in T20I cricket. His fearless innings helped India chase down 126 with ease and eclipsed a record that had stood for almost five years.

Just one day after scripting history, Gibraltar’s Louis Bruce produced another memorable innings against Malta during the 2021 Valletta Cup. Remarkably, Bruce occupies two places on this elite list thanks to his back-to-back half-centuries.
2. Louis Bruce (Gibraltar) – 16 years, 56 days
Louis Bruce first entered the record books on August 20, 2021, when he scored 60 off 53 deliveries against Malta. At the time, the innings made him the youngest player in men’s T20I history to score a half-century. Bruce held the world record for nearly five years before it was eventually surpassed by India’s teenage sensation Suryavanshi.
