Introduction
I’ve had many experiences wearing Adidas golf shoes out on the fairways (and in rough), and they’re always superb, and a brand that produces high-quality footwear time after time.
These Adidas golf shoes are no exception, and provided me with a pleasant time returning to a spiked model, having become so accustomed to shoes without these mechanisms attached to the bottom.
So, let’s find out what I found in my full Adidas Adipower 26 spiked golf shoe review….

First Impressions
Straight out of the box, the Adidas Adipower 26 golf shoes take your breath away. They look great, and a golf shoe that is predominantly white is always bound to get you in the mood for summer golf. They look fresh, clean and stylish, and you can’t help but be excited to get them on.
The contrast with the blue on the side and back of the shoe is lovely, too. The particular model I was treated to is predominantly navy when it isn’t white, and a little bit of light blue on the sides, as well. It just looks very smart.
I love the Adidas branding. I think they have it spot on, about the three thick blocks that make up the logo and which run down each side of the shoes. Boxes are ticked when taking these out of the box, it’s fair to say.
Sizing
I am a size 11, and I would say the Adidas Adipower 26 golf shoes are true to size. I wouldn’t have wanted a 10, and 12 would have been too big – 11.5 would probably been slightly better, so maybe size up half a size.
They might need a round or two to break in, as I did have mild discomfort in my heels while walking down the 18th hole. Nonetheless, they were fine and a good fit.
It is worth visiting the Adidas website, though. The advice there is to go up half a size.
How I undertook the review
I wore the Adidas Adipower 26 golf shoes, playing a round of 18 holes at the end of March. It was decent weather for the most part, but there was a period of rain, and even a hail storm, playing down on the southeast Kent coast.
While that brief downpour was far from enjoyable, I was able to test these shoes in several different weather conditions.

What I found
After only a few holes, it is clear what Adidas has tried to achieve with these shoes. The intention is to combine traction, stability, and comfort to instil confidence on the golf course, and I absolutely understand it.
The entire construction of these shoes is centred around stability. The spikes almost make you feel taller, but planted to the surface you are standing on, as well. You definitely feel stable, and you definitely feel like you are ready and within optimal conditions to hit the shot you want to hit.

The model is focused on energy return, too. Once again, I get it. The midsole is engineered for maximum energy return, and you can really feel the shoes working hard for you in turf interaction.
Stability
As I have already alluded to, the stability is at the centre of the design here. The Adipower sole is shaped and configured to give you traction in every step you take on the golf course.

Easy clean
Being white they do pick up obvious mud and marks. But after the round they were pretty simple clean up with a cloth.
Waterproof qualities
The shoes held up fine in the rain and hail that I played golf in. The conditions were really quite harsh for a period, even if it was short. And at no point did my feet feel penetrated.
NCG Final Say
The Adidas Adipower 26 shoe is mightily impressive. It is like wearing a pair of tanks on your feet. They are reliable, solid and grounded. As you swing your club, you can feel the spikes and the construction of the shoe working back upwards in your favour.
Stability is the key with them, and this is the main feeling I had out on the fairways.

How they compare to other shoes
I haven’t worn many spiked Adidas shoes in recent years, if truth be told. But I have worn the Adidas S2G Spikeless Leather 24 golf shoes, which are quite possibly the best golf shoes I have ever worn.
They prioritise comfort, though, as they are spikeless and athletic. The Adidas Adipower 26 shoes are built to lock you into your golf game.
