Confirmed line-ups as Carrick makes 2 changes

Manchester United are back in Premier League action as they host Aston Villa at Old Trafford this afternoon.

The Red Devils produced a stunning comeback from 2-0 down to beat AS Roma 3-2 in the Champions League at Old Trafford on Tuesday night. Mathues Cunha was the hero as he scored two late goals to seal the dramatic victory.

Michael Carrick will hope that win inspires a much-needed turn around of form in the Premier League as Man Utd head into the game sitting in the bottom three following last weeks defeat to Chelsea.

Carrick has made two changes to his starting eleven but Senne Lammens keeps his place in goal while Harry Maguire marshals the defence once again. Ayden Heaven drops out with Leny Yoro moving into the centre of the back four. Noussair Mazraoui is recalled while Diogo Dalot keeps his place.

Youri Tielemans is also recalled in midfield after being named on the bench in midweek. Carlos Baleba is ruled out through injury so Kobbie Mainoo keeps his place in the middle of the park. Andrey Santos has to settle for a place on the Man Utd bench.

Amad Diallo keeps his place on the right wing while Bruno Fernandes captains United once again this afternoon. Cunha keeps his place in attack after his heroics in midweek while Bryan Mbeumo leads the line up front with Joshua Zirkzee having to settle for a place among the subs. Mason Mount is also on the bench.

As for Villa, the in-form Nicolas Jackson will be the dangerman up front. John McGinn also starts along with Leon .Goretzka
